MAG's Bawtry Auction Event Raises Almost £5,000 For Hospice
Bawtry Motor Auction re-opened its doors for the first time in eight years
Motor Auction Group (MAG) raised almost £5,000 for the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice at its Bawtry auction in
a ‘one-off’ sale event for Arnold Clark on 1 June.
The sale saw 108 dealer part exchanges sold on behalf of Arnold Clark. It was
attended by 150 enthusiastic buyers, 80% of the cars were purchased in the hall
and 20% online. Of the buyers, 40% were private, this made for a special,
nostalgic atmosphere in the hall.
MAG director Matt Gill said: “The Bawtry sale was very successful, and it brought back some great memories
from nearly 60 years of MAG using the site.
“We were pleased to welcome Bluebell Wood hospice to the sale and the money it
raised will help support families across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire,
North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire.
“Used vehicle volumes continue to rise with both our Rotherham and Corby sites full
of used cars and vans. Our recent sale proves that Bawtry gives us extra sales
capacity when we need it,”
The Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, based in Sheffield, officially opened in
September 2008.
It provides support to hundreds of children from South Yorkshire, North
Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. Music
therapy, physiotherapy and day trips are a part of the support that the hospice
offers.
